The retreat is open to all writers, but caters to those who craft book-length non-fiction about Texas. The program is designed to appeal to writers at all experience levels, and to those in a variety of subject areas.

The retreat is a small and personal affair. Attendance is limited to 150. It is a retreat, not a festival: you won't find splashy galas or rows of concession booths. But you will meet authors, agents and publishers face-to-face, and you will have time to mingle and network with fellow writers.
